Join Health Power's Minority Health Communication Network:

Help Spread the Word and Connect with Others to Make a Difference!



The Network's Purpose: To share information and support activities for disease prevention, early detection and control. In doing so, we will:

  1. Increase health literacy in minority populations;
  2. Help eliminate health disparities; and
  3. Help eliminate the digital divide, a necessity for minorities in order for them to achieve economic health.


Developing Member Benefits include:

    -Each member knowing that he or she is helping to make a difference for minority health;

    -Product coupons and discounts;

    -The opportunity to become a Health Power Diplomat through membership recruitment; On recruiting 50 Network members, Diplomats receive a $50 Visa, Master Card, or American Express card gift certificate. In addition, their photos are posted on the Diplomats Page of the Health Power website.

    -The opportunity to become a Health Power Ambassador by recruiting faith based institutions, community organizations, etc. as (a) ongoing sources for the distribution of Health Power and other information and materials such as brochures, Tip Sheets, and newsletters, and (b) participants in other joint activities.

Ambassadors also have their photos posted in the Health Power Ambassadors Section, along with a brief statement of why he/she wants to 'Help make a Difference' for minority health. The statement will also indicate what he/she has done, or is doing as a Health Power Ambassador.
